Synopsis
In a country facing rapidly declining birth rates, the rulers of Gilead begin using fertile women as 'breeders' by assigning them to upper-class families. Offred, one such woman, is placed with a childless couple to conceive children for them. Forced to leave behind her husband and daughter and held captive, Offred tries every means possible to survive and escape this terrifying dystopia.
