Synopsis

A group of socially awkward geeks meet their smart female neighbor Penny is an aspiring film actress who lives across the hall from her neighbors, Leonard and Sheldon. The pair are best friends and socially awkward physicists studying at Caltech, while Penny, who drops in on them periodically, is a waitress waiting for her big break. The three form an unlikely bond that starts as neighborly support and blossoms into full-blown friendship. With their equally geeky friends Howard and Raj also showing up to discuss the latest scientific breakthroughs, the five Pasadena residents are an odd troupe led by Penny, the only one with any common sense in a house full of geniuses.
